  1. Participation in ESOF2012, Dublin (Ireland) from 11th to 15th July 2012. Dr. Nelli Didenko was elected for another two-year term. The scientific session "Is there cooperation with Russia is vital for Europe?". was held at ESOF2012 (by the initiative of Prof. Irina Eliseeva, President of SPbESCC); Dr. Nelli Didenko was the organizer and the moderator of the session. The forum was attended by 28 participants from Russia.
  2. SPbESCC participated in the organization of the 2nd International Conference "Scientific and technological cooperation between Russia and the European Union: convergence of innovative strategies for 2020", which was held in St. Petersburg from 11 to 12 July 2012. The main head was the member of ES, Dr. Sergey Kozyrev. The conference was held by initiative of two 7FP NCP "Ideas" and "Research infrastructures"(Moscow). The Plenary speaker of the conference, the member of ES Local Section, Ass. Member of RAS Prof. Vladimir Anisimov was awarded by the medal and honorary diploma "For outstanding achievements in the study of aging and contribution to the development of gerontological science in Europe" (2011).
  3. In September 2012, Oxford hosted an international conference on the dynamics of molecular systems (MOLEC conference 2012). Professor Vadim Ivanov took part in the conference with an invited presentation.
  4. September 30 - October 4, 2012 an international conference on the dynamics of nanoscale systems (DySoN 2012) was held in St. Petersburg. Prof. Vadim Ivanov made an invited presentation, which will be published in the European Journal of Physics. Prof. J.-P. Connerade from ES GB took part in this conference.
  5. A member of the SPb ESCC, Mrs. Svetlana Belyaeva, editor of the newspaper "Search” published an article about ESOF2012 in the weekly newspaper “Poisk”.
  6. October 29, 2012, the re-election conference of Euroscience cooperation centre was held. At the conference, Prof. Vadim Ivanov (SPb State Polytechnic University) was elected as the new President of the SPbESCC.
  7. Dr. Nelli Didenko took part on December 14 2012. with an invited presentation on behalf ESCC at the conference "Prospects for increasing the participation of industrial, scientific and technical organizations, universities of St. Petersburg in international programs and projects in the field of research and technological development." The conference was organized by the Committee for Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade, the Committee on Science and Higher Education, the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Government of St. Petersburg.
